He steps
outside
into the night.

A moment before,
heavy rain
and strong winds,
would have
welcomed him.

For
just a moment,
a brief respite
permeates the air.

The wind
brisks his face,
the rain
is nowhere
to be.

He feels
the freshness
of the air,
circle his body.

He walks
along a pathway,
just a short distance.
